Our story
Villa Ivka was built in 1911 by Ivka and Mate Dorčić, a well-known merchant in Baška and an active philanthropist and respected member of the local community.
Designed in an Art Deco style, the villa was considered highly modern for its time. The couple soon began renting it out to visitors, marking it as one of the early examples of tourism-oriented private accommodation in the area.
Over the years, Villa Ivka welcomed several notable guests, including two Czech poets, Jiří Wolker and Constantin Biebl.
A century later, in 2010, the Hrabrić family acquired part of the property. The house was subsequently fully renovated and modernised, with great care and attention to detail, preserving its original historical features.
Today, these same walls continue to carry the spirit of its history, blending heritage with renewed life.
